Join the Don’t Overthink It launch team!

Readers, we’ve been making some fun announcements lately regarding my new book Don’t Overthink It: Make Easier Decisions, Stop Second-Guessing, and Bring More Joy to Your Life. We announced the pre-order bonuses, shared my book tour dates, and I even read a chapter on What Should I Read Next.

I’m most excited about today’s announcement because this one involves you. Today I have details on how you can join the launch team for my book. If you aren’t familiar with launch teams, these are the folks that help get the word out about a new book and are excited to share it personally and publicly. (For more about launch teams and how they work, listen to this fun interview with launch team guru Anna LeBaron on episode 170 of What Should I Read Next, called “Fascinating fiction for the relentlessly practical reader.”)

We’ve had launch teams for both my previous books and this one will be fairly similar. The one big difference is for Don’t Overthink It there is no limit to the number of launch team members and you don’t need to apply or win a lottery or anything like that. Simply preorder the book, fill out the launch team form, and you’re in.

Launch team members get an early digital copy, access to a private Facebook group to discuss the book with fellow readers, chat with me about your overthinking stories, discuss how you’re finding the book useful, ask me about the writing process, and more fun stuff I’m excited to share soon with launch team members.

I love this community and the support you show for authors, independent booksellers, and my work. Thanks so much for the enthusiasm you’ve shown for my book so far. I hope you’ll consider joining the launch team. I can’t wait to meet and mingle in our little group! We have some special things coming your way. And you will have my eternal gratitude.

To join, preorder your copy of Don’t Overthink It, then go to overthinkbook.com and click the button that says “Join the team.” (Be sure to claim your preorder bonuses while you’re there!) We’ll be in touch with all the information you need to get your early digital copy and spread the word about the book.

Thanks so much, and happy reading!

P.S. There are three ways to preorder: order from your favorite online or offline retailer, order a signed copy from Carmichael’s Bookstore, or order the deluxe book box from Page 1 Books. Click here for the details on those options.

I ordered my book from Browser’s Books in Olympia, WA and filled out the pre-order form January 10th. Just wondering if there is a link for the pre-order bonuses yet or if that will come later?

  2. Carol G Barnett says:

I pre-ordered the book, registered with your site and received the thank you for pre-ordering email. Is there anything else that I need to do at this point?

    Have preorded your book.
Have last week rereaf the “i rather be reading”. It made me so nostalgic, remembering My childhood with my father taking me to Library each saturday and chosing for me. There was so many nono books, he had a very strong opinion what was good enough. Buying books was not an opportunity not in our budget. Do also remember when i as a 10 year old got a big box with around 50 books for preteens. Among other Kitty books. The treasure box i then gave My niece when she was 9. So many happy memories that pop’s up. Yes i live for reading.

Donna, thank you so much for your willingness to participate! That window has closed, but what we’re asking the launch team to do now is tell their fellow readers about the book. I’d be honored if you’d spread the word. Thank you!
