Every summer, we do a little reader survey to take the temperature of the blog. I love reading your responses every year, and can’t believe it’s time for Annual Survey #8!

Every year the questions are different. We have a few straight-up demographic questions for you. A few questions about your reading habits. We added several questions because some of you are burning with curiosity about the answers. And a few questions that tell us more about you as individuals.

The whole thing should take 5 minutes or less.

Click here to take the survey.

Thanks so much for your input, and for helping to make this little corner of the internet what it is. I appreciate it–and you!–so much.

Anne

P.S. Want to see last year’s survey results? They’re right here.

I wanted to add to my survey that I use GoodReads to keep track of what I read, am currently reading and want to read. I like their reader reviews also.

  2. Jocelyn says:

Is the survey closed? I tried clicking the link but it says it is no longer accepting responses. Guess I was late to the game!

“Permanent” is a big word, but yes, we will no longer be selling physical products—at least not for the foreseeable future—after this weekend. I love our products there but there is only so much of me to go around, and I need one less thing to manage. Thanks for understanding!

We appreciate a good conversation in the comments section. Whether we’re talking about books or life, differing opinions can enrich a discussion when they’re offered for the purpose of greater connection and deeper understanding, which we whole-heartedly support. We have begun holding all comments for moderation and manually approving them (learn more). My team and I will not approve comments that are hurtful or intended to shame members of this community, particularly if they are left by first-time commenters. We have zero tolerance for hate speech or bigotry of any kind. Remember that there are real people on the other side of the screen. We’re grateful our community of readers is characterized by kindness, curiosity, and thoughtfulness. Thank you for helping us keep it that way.
