Readers, I have some big news and I’m thrilled to finally be able to share it. My next book My Reading Life: A Book Journal, is coming your way on September 7, 2021. (Update: the situation in the Suez Canal this spring impacted numerous 2021 publication dates, including mine. The release date is now September 21.) Today I get to show you the cover!
I had a lot of fun creating this journal for book lovers—and I adore its cheerful cover.
Here it is!
Now for what’s on the inside. The journal’s interior was inspired by my conversations with literally thousands of readers over the years about what makes their reading life better—and what doesn’t. And, of course, by my own hands-on experience as a book lover and journaler.
You’ve been asking for a book journal like this for years, and I’m so excited to get it in your hands. I OBSESSED over the reading log pages, and so enjoyed curating seasonal reading lists, creating a beautiful habit tracker, and choosing my favorite bookish quotes, all with the goal of helping you draw more satisfaction from the books you read, and enjoy the process more.
Tracking the books you read is one of the best ways I know to improve your reading life. This journal is meant to capture the history of what you’ve read, to help you reflect on the books you are currently reading, and to help you decide on and plan for the books you want to read.
My hope is that this journal will help you both articulate your reading taste and broaden your literary horizons, and help you enjoy the process. In addition to the tracking pages, I’ve included more than 20 book lists that feature titles from a diverse assortment of authors, genres, themes, and more, as well as seasonal reading suggestions.
Bound in a sturdy (and oh so pretty) hardcover, this compact book journal fits right in your tote bag, whether you’re going to the library, to school, or to work.
I hope you’re interested in tracking your reading with My Reading Life: A Book Journal. If you’re ready, your pre-order would mean a great deal. Pre-orders determine how many copies the publisher decides to print, and impacts whether or not retailers will choose to stock it. (In other words, they matter a lot!)
Preorder from any of these places:
And don’t forget about your local indie! You can pre-order wherever new books are sold.
I so hope you enjoy this reading journal, and I can’t wait to see how you use it!
