Written in the Stars

Darcy Lowell and Elle Jones had a disastrous blind date, but Darcy's brother will keep bugging her until she finds love. With a little convincing, she gets Elle on board for a fake relationship to benefit them both. The plot of this contemporary romance doesn't mimic Austen, but the characters do feel like Darcy and Elizabeth. Catching the subtle nods to Pride and Prejudice in this breezy, page-turner adds a delightful layer to the reading experience, but you don't need any prior knowledge of Austen's work in order to fully enjoy it. Hang the Moon

A childhood crush sparks back to life in this adorable romance that draws inspiration from beloved rom-com movies. Darcy’s brother Brendon and best friend Annie star in this standalone story that picks up where Written in the Stars leaves off (though you can read in any order). Annie was Brendon’s childhood crush, but she just remembers him as a sweet, goofy kid. When they reconnect in Seattle as grown-ups, sparks fly—but to Annie, this relationship is unthinkable: you shouldn’t get involved with your bestie’s brother, plus she’s about to move for work—to London. But Brendon is a romantic at heart, and he’s determined to woo Annie by showing her that the true love on display in his favorite Seattle-based rom-coms is real—and is theirs for the taking. A happy and heartwarming reading experience. Heads up for a few lengthy open-door bedroom scenes.
