My favorite finds from around the web:
• Every celebrity interview. “It’s a Wednesday afternoon at Café Gitane, and [YOUR FAVORITE FEMALE CELEBRITY] breezes through the door fifteen minutes late. She says the traffic was crazy and graciously offers to refill my cup of coffee….”
• A picture of me at work. I loved this essay about what it means to capture the essence of a person from Ed Cyzewski’s newsletter.
• Discover the kitchen style for your Myers-Briggs personality type. Of course this is ridiculous. Of course I read it anyway.
• 9 learnings from 9 years of Brain Pickings. Be generous. Expect anything worthwhile to take a long time. Build pockets of stillness into your life. (Sleep!)
Favorite instagram:
It’s no secret that the blue books are my favorite. (I’m on instagram as @annebogel.)
On the blog:
One year ago: Books that are really engaging, but easy to read.
Two years ago: What keeps women from showing up?
Three years ago: 3 time management rules I wish I’d learned 10 years ago.
Don’t forget:
Don’t miss this great ePantry deal, good through Sunday November 1. Get a free seasonal scents pack from Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day including a hand soap, dish soap, multi-surface spray, and Full Circle scrub brush in the seasonal scent of your choice: Orange Clove, Iowa Pine, or Cranberry.

The celebrity interview! I’m dying!!
Also, I have a feeling that the perfect kitchen for YOUR personality type would be “finished.”
😉
If someone did a book with nothing but pictures of bookshelves filled with books, stacks of books on nightstands, and piles of books at bookstores, I would buy it. I always love those pics, especially when I can read the titles!
I would totally buy that book. 🙂
Wonderful links. My father was a professional news photographer. All my favorite pictures of myself are ones he took casually. I think it was a combination of the trust between us, allowing me to look relaxed and happy with a camera pointed at me, and his skill with lighting and composition. Some are “posed candids,”–leaning over a wooden half door with our dog, leaping into the air, peering around a corner–but others were true candids, looking up from a cup of coffee, hugging my mom.
Okay, so the Myers-Briggs kitchen article was too funny! I am an INFJ (“Your kitchen style is Scandinavian. Light, bright, and white! You love subway tile with dark grout, white-washed floors, and clean, tidy spaces with just a few bright pops of color. This reminds you of a better future ahead.”) What cracked me up was that I actually said to my husband just the other day: “you know what I love? white subway tile with dark grout.”
Hahaha!
The Myers-Briggs article was fun! And, eerily correct for me. 🙂
Ha ha on the celebrity interview. The most original I ever saw was years ago, the magazine convinced Susan Sarandon to do a bunch of crazy things in exchange for donations to the Heifer Project. Then they followed her around while she did the challenges (like rent her own movies at Blockbuster…it was a while ago!)
Sounds like she was a good sport. 🙂
The Myers-Brigg kitchen is on point for me! Incredible!
