Brigid says: A darkly hilarious fantasy horror novel about Gideon, a lesbian swordswoman in a world of necromancers. Narrator Moira Quirk's voices are lively and simply charming, which is a lot to say for a book with so much blood and reanimated skeletons. A favorite of MMD Team member Leigh as well, I keep finding myself laughing out loud while listening and am reminded of the movie Army of Darkness.
