This is the story of Will and Rosie, total opposites who fall in love as teenagers despite every single person they know thinking they’re all wrong for each other. (They’re not.) A sudden tragedy drives them apart, but through the decades they keep finding their way back to each other. I rooted so hard for this couple, willing their tumultuous relationship to find steadier ground as they navigate love and loss, overwhelming grief, familial expectations, and missed opportunities, and as they wrestle with the idea of pursuing their own happiness when it feels like it might come at the expense of another. I loved it. For fans of David Nicholls's One Day and Sally Rooney's Normal People.
