Sweatshirts you’ll want to wear all fall and winter

I'm ready for sweatshirt season.

This is the time of year when I typically take a look at my wardrobe and start figuring out what sweaters and cardigans I’m going to need for the coming wintry months. But this time around, I want to focus on sweatshirts, the unsung heroes of cozy season.

Whether you’re shopping for your own closet or looking for gifts for others, I hope you enjoy this sweatshirt roundup.

Sweatshirts for the cozy season

American Giant

I have long loved my Women’s Classic Full Zip hoodie (XS–XXL) from American Giant. I’ve gotten some of their special edition colors in the past but I always wind up wearing the black one the most. I’m also a big fan of the Unisex American Vintage Crew Sweatshirt (XS–XL) and Unisex American Vintage Pullover (XS–XL). They come in such great colors!

(Did you know American Giant did a collab with Walmart? They have these $40 sweatshirts (XS–3X) on the Walmart site.)

Old Navy

The SoComfy Relaxed Tunic Sweatshirt (XS–4X) is aptly named: it’s super comfy and cozy.

Jane Austen fans

Surprising no one, it’s hard for me to resist Jane Austen-themed apparel. Case in point: pull on this cozy Most Ardently sweatshirt (S–3XL) whenever you’re in the mood to swoon or this Obstinate Headstrong Girl sweatshirt (S–5XL) when you need to channel your inner Elizabeth Bennet.

I also love the design of this Pemberley sweatshirt (S–2XL). It comes in nine colors; this shop also gives you the option to get this design on a t-shirt instead.

J. Crew Factory

This embellished crewneck sweatshirt (XXS–3XL) is so cute and sparkly. It’s also selling out fast so get yours while you can!

Then there’s these super cute crewneck sweatshirts for Paris, Game Day, and New York (XXS–3XL).

Rilke appreciation

I don’t remember seeing Rilke apparel before coming across this sweatshirt (S–5XL). The design on the front mimics the first edition cover of Rilke’s Letters To Young Poet. The design on the back is the first page of the book in German.

Anthropologie

Are you an MVP Snack Coordinator? I had my eye on the t-shirt (which seems to have sold out) but then I found this sweatshirt version (XXS–XL). I’m also digging this Maeve Sketchy Floral Sweatshirt (XXS–XL).

Are you excited for sweatshirt season? What are your favorite sweatshirts? I hope you’ll share in the comments.

P.S. My go-to sweaters, Get ready to set the mood for cozy season, and How to create a cozy reading area.

I just ordered my second Oh Snap! snap front sweatshirt from Aerie, the snaps go 1/2 down the front, and end with a quilted stand-up collar. Super cozy and the “deep earth” is the perfect chocolate brown color.

You might want to take a look at the LLBean quilted sweatshirts. they come in lovely colors, a quarter zip and a full zip and no zip. they will last for years!

Pippi post! As an HSP, I am super picky about texture, and these are soft, cozy, and not itchy. I have two that are still wearable after two years of heavy wear!
