This lovely story opens with Londoner Jess wrapping up a torturous project: she’s clearing out her late mother’s things, and one of the few remaining items is an encyclopedia set her mom gave her when she was young. She can’t keep the books, but she can’t bear to give them to just anyone. Then her friend tells her about a strange museum dedicated to the ordinary stuff of life—her encyclopedias would be perfect for their collection. Soon enough, Jess’s quest leads her to take on a passion project, get to know a handsome stranger, and question what she wants from life.
