Lisa and Lottie

Did you know the movie The Parent Trap is based on a German children’s book? Shannan shared this fact in a meeting earlier this summer and it blew my mind: how could I not have known? In the 1949 original tale, two 10-year-old girls meet at summer camp and figure out they’re twins, then conspire to get their divorced parents back together. This landed on my TBR after Shannan read it and reported back that it was worth the reading time. (Dare I try it in the original German?)
