The Same Bright Stars
There are so many beach books coming out this summer and I am here for it! Joella’s offering is set in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, where third-generation beachfront restaurant owner Jack finds himself at a crisis. He’s fifty-two, “but an old fifty-two,” and while he feels duty-bound to carry on the family business, he’s afraid he’ll die running it. But then he’s given an unexpected—and perhaps too easy—way out of his business quandary, and learns a previously hidden truth about his past that forces him to question everything he thought he knew about himself. This is a beautifully layered story about small towns and found family, first chances and last chances, about doing the right thing and making hard choices.
