If you’re reading via email or a feed reader, you may need to click over to the blog for this one. (Thank you!)
Every year or so, we do this little reader survey to take the temperature of the blog. I did the first survey because I felt like I should … but I had so much fun reading your responses, I couldn’t wait to do it again.
Now it’s time for Annual Survey #4!
The first few questions are easy-breezy, check-the-box demographic questions that will bore you, but only for about 6 seconds. I’m asking because anybody who wants to know anything about this blog wants to know who’s reading it, and you are the ones who can best answer that question.
After that, I ask you questions that I’m straight-up curious about, and questions that will help me make sure the site is easy for you to use.
The whole thing should take 5 minutes or less.
The survey will be open for one week. When we’re all done, I’ll share some of the interesting answers here.
Thanks so much for your input! I appreciate it–and you!–so much.
(If the embedded survey gives you any trouble, please answer it here.)

This is more of a blogger question, but what kind of survey form did you use? How did you embed it? If this isn’t the best place to answer that, I understand. Thanks!
I’m pretty sure she used Google Forms 🙂 https://www.google.com/forms/about/
And it is such a good idea. I was curious about how easy it was to embed within your blog. There are some companies out there that charge a bunch to create and run surveys for you, but I love the idea of using Google!
Took a peek at your site, looks like you’re on WordPress, so hopefully this helps! https://en.support.wordpress.com/google-docs/
Yep, google docs, and it’s very easy. I watched a 10 minute youtube video to figure it out 4 years ago and the same method still works. 🙂
I would have liked a “never” option for this question: “How often do you visit the Great Kindle Deals page?”
Otherwise, thank you! Looking forward to results!
I agree. I do not have a Kindle, so I don’t visit the deals page.
Same here.
Same here. I just left that one blank.
Me too.
Me, too. I added it in one of the comment boxes.
This is good to know! I’m paying attention and modifying the survey. 🙂
I don’t have a kindle but I have another e-reader and the deals are often similar.
I’m older than the list of ages you have. So, do you need to know there older women reading your blog?
Of course I do! Please choose the box that says “age 55 or better.”
Anne, those of us who are “55 or better” feel that there’s a BIG difference between a 60 year old woman and an 85 year old woman! 🙂 So a suggestion for your next survey might be to make more age categories for us “55 or better” ladies! 🙂 Like 55-64, 65-74, 75-84, 85 and above. Perhaps you don’t need THAT many, but I think you got my point! 🙂 Love the blog, btw, I’m a daily visitor!
You’re so right. I’ll adjust it for next year. Thanks for the feedback—much appreciated, truly.
I love this blog. I answered the questions the best and most encouragingly as I could. I am 62 years old but Anne encourages my personal goals and growth. I am inspired every time I visit MMD which is daily and my choice.
Thanks so much!
MMD Live event???? When do we hear more? 😀
Agreed!!! Come to Philadelphia (or even Bethlehem–we have a speakeasy themed bar called The Bookstore nearby!)!!
That sounds like a fun place to visit!
Except for the event in Raleigh, I have no plans. But I do have a couple of friends with bookstores who’ve suggested the meetup idea. I wanted to see if anyone might show up. 🙂
I love connecting with other book lovers and learning about new (to me) books that I need to add to my reading list. Keep up the great work!
I missed out on taking the survey – alas! So I’m curious if you’ve got the questions posted somewhere I could look at them. I LOVE things like this because it makes me step back and look at how I do things, but also makes me curious about other people! Of course, you’ll write about the results so I guess I could also try to be patient… 🙂
Yes, I’ll be posting the responses soon.
