NatureBox September 15-7

In an act of either brilliance or stupidity, Will and I signed up all four kids for Little League this fall.

In the stupidity column: there are some weeks we’re at the ballpark six days.

As for brilliance: there are some nights when all four kids have games or practices at the same time. Plus, even if the schedule gets really bad, the season’s only six weeks long.

NatureBox September 15

We usually stay close to home and keep a low-key schedule, but our family rhythms have a different feel during this season. We’re in the car a ton. We’re not eating actual dinners as often. And we are doing a whole lot of snacking.

I’m getting a little better about being on the go: our car is stocked with napkins, wet wipes, and little cupcake holders for easy snacking. An emergency package of something tasty (that won’t melt) waits in the glove compartment for blood sugar emergencies. Our pantry at home is stocked with more snacky stuff than usual.

One of my kids’ favorite snack providers is NatureBox, an online snack company that makes smart, delicious snacking easy.

Their snacks are made from high quality ingredients with no artificial nonsense like high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, or artificial colors, flavors, or sweeteners.

You can choose what snacks are included in your box, every time, so you can try new snacks each month. NatureBox adds new snacks every month so there’s always something new to discover.

You pick the box size and delivery frequency that’s right for you. You can also change, pause or cancel your shipments at any time.

NatureBox has over 100 snacks to choose from; it’s easy to sort by ingredient, flavor, or dietary needs. This month we’re especially loving the probiotic power mix, big island pineapple, and chipotle maple almonds. (The chipotle almonds are so spicy the kids can only eat a few at a time, which is very handy for the hungry adults nearby.)

NatureBox is giving two lucky readers a free 6-month membership. To enter, check out their snack catalog and leave a comment on this post with the snack you’d most like to try. Two winners will be chosen at random. Good luck!

Pistachio anything sounds great. I like the look of the power clusters. I’d probably get the whole wheat chocolate chip cookies as a treat for youngest girl too.

  2. Valerie W. says:

The praline pumpkin seeds sound yum, and perhaps a good alternative to nuts for my kiddo with braces. And dried mango is always a hit around here.

  3. Courtney says:

I like snacks with a little more substance, so I’d probably be more interested in their baked treats. I think the whole wheat strawberry figgy bars would be first on the list!

  4. Where do I begin? Garlic plantains and sweet kettle crunch for mama. I’m thinking everyone in my house would love those big pieces of dried pineapple. Price-wise, what do you think about ordering via Nature Box versus purchasing similar snacks at Whole Foods?

  5. Ellen says:

I’d love to try this! Those praline pumpkin seeds sound amazing, as do the coconut cashews in the catalogue… perfect snacking!

  6. Lindsey says:

Yum! How can you pick just one! The Jalapeño White Cheddar popcorn and the Mini Belgian Waffles sound great. So do the Strawberry Lemonade mini stars.

  7. Rachael Rennard says:

I would love to try the cranberry medley (my 5-year-old loves cranberries) and the sriracha cashew crunch (my 11 year old is obsessed with sriracha!!).

  8. Jenny says:

I tend to crave savory snacks more often than sweet snacks, so I would definitely be ordering the sriracha roasted cashews and the jalapeno white cheddar popcorn!

  9. Karen says:

Choosing is so hard! For the season I’d have to go with Praline pumpkin seeds. Been thinking longingly of Naturebox since you mentioned them ages ago.

  10. Debbie says:

I’ve used NatureBox in the past and almost forgot all about them! Thanks for doing this! I’ve tried a bunch but not the masa chips yet and those look yummy 🙂

  11. holly says:

oh my word, everything is making my mouth water. i keep getting pulled to the sriracha cashew crunch, although i am sure my body would be happier about the probiotic power mix. 🙂

  12. Stephanie says:

We are experimenting with a gluten-free diet for my son, who loves sour cream and onion chips; so I’d definitely start out with the sour cream and onion almonds!

  17. Adrienne says:

There are so many snacks, I would like to try, the probiotic power mix, asiago & cheddar cheese crisps, and the pumpkin spice nom noms. It’s too hard to pick just one!

  18. Megan M says:

Disciplined, morning me is all about the pistachio power clusters, but afternoon me loves the sound of asiago & cheddar cheese strips. Plenty of room in the day for both!

  19. Karen says:

Wow! You make everything look and sound so delicious! But if I had to pick one snack right now, it would have to be the Pumpkin Spice Nom Noms. I just love fall foods, especially anything with pumpkin 🙂

  20. Gabriel R. says:

The watermelon mini stars for my daughter. Mini cocoa belgian waffles for my son. And almost everything for me, but the guacamole twists and garlic plantains look especially fun to try.

  21. Maribeth says:

Oh my goodness, how do you choose??? If you’re making me pick just one, the Salted Caramel Pretzel Pops look like they’d be right up my alley. But if I’m lucky enough to win the 6-month membership, I would try ALL the granola and dried fruit options with a couple of other sweet and salty options thrown in for good measure. 🙂

  22. Dana says:

All of it looks good….I love plantains so the Garlic Plantain chips sound like something to try. I would probably cycle though almost everything at least once.

    Crossing my fingers!

  23. Natania says:

I am definitely a snacker; it’s hard to pick just one! Since I do though, I’ll pick the Asiago and Cheddar Cheese Crisps. Thank you!

I love the cupcake liner snack holder. I have used this in lunch boxes but had not thought of it for the car, where I have been needing something. Thank you

Wow so much to choose from. I think my girls would like the Apple Cinnamon Crunch and I found many things I would like to try. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  28. Melissa says:

I LOVE that you can refine a search based on your food allergies! I have a dairy and egg allergy so I appreciated being able to check those off and be snacks I can actually eat. For me, the whole wheat vanilla animal cookies look great.

  29. Charity says:

I would love any of the fruit chews (I am a gummy nerd and healthy gummies are even better!) and the French toast granola sounds yummy!

  31. Joelline says:

I would love, love, love to try the cherry vanilla granola– or any of their granolas since they all seem to be coconut-free! The granola aisle is a sad, sad place for someone with a coconut allergy 🙂

  32. Ruth-Anne Hayes says:

  34. Leisa says:

The Mini Cocoa Belgian Waffles look delicious! My kids and I spend all day in the car 4 days a week, this would be a great help! I love the ability to refine the search for dietary needs.

  35. Emily H. says:

Oh, man! I’m having a hard time deciding. What I *really* want (pumpkin nom noms) have too many calories for me, because I know I’d eat them all in one sitting…

I’d probably go with the cinnamon almonds or the strawberry-lemonade fruit chews.

  36. Jen says:

I’m obsessed with miniature things so those mini-watermelon stars look amazing! and they happen to be the first shape my 20 month old learned so I’m sure he’d be delighted to eat some stars!

  37. Ashley says:

Another reminder that to comment (no mobile site) you have to scroll to the end of all the comments. Not fun! But I’d love to try this. Pumpkin seeds are my favorite. And I think this would be perfect for a new nursing mama; you need good snacks a lot!!

  42. Anna says:

Looking through those snacks made me hungry. I would pick the blueberry almonds or the sweet and simple nut mix. There are lots I would want to try, though.

Those Fruit Stars are adorable (never thought I’d say that about a snack! 😉 ). I’d like to try the Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Bites and the Apple Cinnamon Crunch. 🙂

  45. Lori M says:

I filtered by “less than 15g carbs” and “protein packed” because of Diabetes in the family. I was happy to see a lit of choices! The Asiago & Cheddar Cheese Crisps and the Sea Salt Sun-Crunch look delicious!

  46. Lisa Lundgren says:

Oh my, what a bounty to choose from! I think the Roasted Garlic Pumpkin Seeds would be my first thing to try! Thank you.
