My favorite finds from around the web:
• An introvert’s guide to having people over. “I’m an introvert who enjoys having people over. But that doesn’t mean I don’t get nervous, tired or worried every time people come through my door. It just means I invite them over anyway.”
• Mr. Darcy is going on tour (or at least his shirt is). “We will be giving [the museum] some Windex, to be used in what we anticipate will be a daily wiping-down of lipstick marks.”
• On going gray in my thirties. “I don’t want to speed up the aging process, but I also don’t want to shy away from it like it’s something to be embarrassed about. It is what it is. So I have gray hair.”
• The “quitter’s mindset” could be the secret to success.” “In high school, you’re successful because you take on and do so much. But that’s not what makes you a success — or even an interesting person — in adult life.”
A new podcast:
In the latest episode of The Simple Show, Tsh Oxenreider and I discuss how we work, what we don’t do, and what our daily rhythms look like. This was so much fun. Listen to the episode here.
(You can catch up on the latest episodes of my podcast What Should I Read Next? here, and follow the show on instagram here. It’s a book nerd’s delight over there.)
On the blog:
One year ago: The three things you need to have people over.
Two years ago: Managing my day-t0-day. “I want to work hard, but I’m also building renewal into my days.”
Three years ago: Occam’s razor. “I thought I needed a complicated plan to meet my goal, but I made dramatic progress with 3 simple steps.”
Four years ago: Sneaky smoothies: how I became a blender-wielding vitamin pusher.
Have a great weekend!

Anne,
I just want to thank you for the joy you bring to my days. I only discovered you this year! You have introduced me to two books that I would probably never have chosen on my own: These is My Words and All the Light We Cannot See. Both of them were spoken of on different podcasts. I thought you were on Spring Break so I had not checked your blog. When I happen to check it this morning, I was delighted to find two new posts waiting for me. Thank you for the time you take to deliver such thoughtful and life-giving words!
Very gratefully,
Amy Wood
Thanks so much!
I love this!! I too am an introvert and find the link super interesting. Wonderful post xx
You always have good links, but these are exceptional! I also enjoy the “On the Blog” section to bring back some of my older favorites! You are one of two blogs where I always at least review the lists of links (the other being how I got here years ago). Thank you!
