I’ve hinted that exciting things are in store around here for 2013. Here’s a bit of what to expect in the months to come.
Here’s what’s coming to the blog in 2013:
A redesign. Those of you follow the MMD facebook page have seen a preview. (You can follow along by liking the page here.) I’ll be rolling it out here in the next few weeks.
A new monthly reading link-up. It’s fun and new and a little different–and I think you’ll like it.
A mentoring series. Far more women need mentors than have them. We’re going to talk about mentoring (from both sides of the relationship) once a month in 2013.
A blog carnival (or several?) First up: the Best Book You’ve Never Heard Of. (Start thinking it over!)
More video blogs. I did one in 2012; expect more in 2013.
Also happening in January:
I’m teaching a class at the brand-new Influence Network on January 24 on Making the Most of Your Twenties. (You don’t have to be a member to take the class.) Head over for details on the class, and the network.
I’ll also be a regular contributor to the Influence blog.
I need your help:
I typically plan my content pretty far in advance, so this is the time to tell me: what would you like to see here in 2013?Â
Thanks so much for reading. Here’s to a great new year!

Looking forward to the new posts (and thanks the the heads-up on the blog carnival. Must start thinking which book to pick…)
Can’t wait to see the redesign! Sounds like 2013 is going to be a busy year for you – blessings!
I was wondering if you were the one teaching that seminar when I saw the title. I have to start thinking of a book.
Sounds great! I’ll be looking forward to that mentoring series.
Sounds awesome, Anne! Wishing I could be part of the network, but alas can’t afford it at the moment! Awesome that you are teaching. Excited to see the new design!
What would I like to see here in 2013? Whatever you’re writing about!
Tim
Aww. Thanks, Tim!
I definitely enjoy all the posts involving books! Looking forward to the mentoring series as well.
Thanks, Corrie Anne!
I’m excited about these upcoming projects, Anne! Thanks for sharing. 🙂 I especially love the idea of a mentoring series (such an important spiritual relationship) and the “Making the Most of Your Twenties” class. I have less that two years left, so this would be a good time to reevaluate.
Kara, it would be a good time to reevaluate! Thanks for the feedback 🙂
Sounds like lots of fun things in store- especially the monthly reading link-up and the mentoring series. I have been lucky to have many wonderful mentors along the way- such an important relationship. Looking forward to it 🙂
Stacey, that’s great that you’ve had mentors in your life! I hope you enjoy the series 🙂
All of these things sound great! 🙂 looking forward to the link ups and mentoring info- I need one 🙂 I would like to read more book posts–those we’re the ones that drew me into your blog at the beginning as well 🙂 Happy New Year! 🙂
Thanks for the feedback, Sarah! (Anything in particular you’d like to see? Reviews/roundups/something else?)
ANNE! I’m so freaking excited about all of this. The monthly reading link up is intriguing, as is the blog carnival. And oh my word, so many thoughts on the importance of mentoring. You’re a genius!
Yay! I’m excited that you’re excited!
This all sounds great, Anne. I’m looking forward to the Book Carnival and the Mentoring Series. I like your book discussions more than your book reviews – when you connect a book or a group of books you’ve read to an idea or thought about life.
Oh, good! Because I do too 🙂 One of my biggest surprises as a blogger has been how much I dislike writing straight book reviews! (And honestly, I don’t enjoy reading them much, either.)
YES! I am the same way. In fact, I originally started my blog because I wanted to talk about books but not review them (also, to give women some better things to read than Twilight and its counterparts. Is that terrible to say? Probably). I’m at Starbucks tonight working on ways to get back to that. For the most part, I do not like reading book reviews. I taught English for five years, so I feel like I’m reading book reports over and over.
Nope, not terrible at all! Or at least I don’t think so 🙂
VERY excited about everything you’ve mentioned!!
About Jan 24th class – is it full? I will have the funds next week and am praying i dont miss this chance? If i would will you be teaching this class/seminar again? Thanks!
Suzette, I don’t have access to the signups, but I’d be really surprised if it was already full. As of right now, I don’t know what classes are planned for February and beyond. But I will keep you all posted and I HOPE it works out for you!
