Wow. Everyone looks so young in that picture from Parenthood. I’m checking out the family movie list right now. I love holiday movies!
I love the book nerd bracelet.
Yay! This is helpful. too bad my husband doesn’t read this blog…
I love that Best Christmas scenes in English literature! I’m going to add a few of those to my TBR for December. They’re fitting for the season. Love the round up! 🙂
I just read all of these posts and love them! Some great stocking stuffer ideas and I love the Christmas scenes in English literature too. Thank you for spreading the holiday spirit 🙂
That Christmas scene in Persuasion is one of my favorites, Anne. Austen gets every detail just right, from the scatter-clatter of the children to detached observance.
Awww…. I miss Parenthood SO much! Thanks for that picture….
i love these everything-in-1-place kind of posts!
To add to the ideas for unusual gifts for kids – toolboxes with a few basic tools (hammer, screwdriver, etc) of good quality and you can add to the kit for each holiday/birthday – by the time they are adults they will have a fully stocked toolbox to take with them. Not just for boys – girls appreciate toolkits too especially smaller ones they can stash in a dorm room for emergencies.
Also hiking/camping gear – start with a quality sleeping bag and head light and then expand (hiking boots, lanterns, backpack, etc) to get them ready for their own adventures.
I’d love to hear any recommendations for holiday-ish books that aren’t cheesy romance novels. I love the Christmas scenes post, but I want more!!
