WSIRN Bonus Ep. 96: Listen to Anne read Chapter 1 of READING PEOPLE!

We’re in serious countdown mode around here: my book Reading People: How Seeing the World Through the Lens of Personality Changes Everything comes out on Tuesday, September 19.

This is the story of how my long journey digging into 7 popular personality frameworks changed my life for the better, and how you can put those frameworks to work for yourself to make real, lasting change in your life, in your work, and in your relationships.

I had the privilege of narrating the audio version of Reading People myself, and to give you a sample of what that’s like, today, with permission, I get to read the introduction and chapter one for you in a special podcast episode

Pre-order your copy now wherever new books are sold—your local indie, Barnes and Noble, Amazon, wherever.

Until September 19 you can get that audiobook for FREE when you preorder Reading People. Just go to readingpeoplebook.com to get your two preorder bonuses. The first is my reading personality class, and when you enter your receipt information you get instant access. The second is that free audiobook download; you’ll get a code in your ebook after the book releases on September 19. I’m so happy my publisher and I were able to offer these fantastic bonuses; it’s a great deal and a rare opportunity to get the book in two formats for the price of one.

Readers, stay tuned, because next week we have another very special episode coming your way. I'm taking you behind the scenes of how Reading People came into being.

I asked our newsletter subscribers to share their burning questions, and they shared plenty: you all asked about agents and editors, how the book got matched up with a publisher, you had SOOO many questions about how the cover was designed, and then things like my writing habits, what I learned along the way, even where the initial idea came from. Next Tuesday, we’re diving in to all that and more. We've never had an episode quite like this before. It's gonna be fun!

Love it! I can’t wait until my copy arrives next week. Maybe I’ll listen to the audiobook and follow along, underlining as I go!

I had a similar experience of incorrectly classifying myself. I grew up in a family of extreme extroverts and thus functioned fairly well as one out of necessity. I didn’t realize until my late 20s that I was an HSP and an introvert — no wonder I was exhausted and emotionally wrung out all the time! I thought I was going crazy. Elaine Aron’s book saved my sanity. It really does make a world of difference to know your personality and adjust accordingly.

Oh my goodness! Great content but my ears cannot follow how fast you talk. I am exhausted from trying to listen..just my own opinion…

Hey, Loved the Reading People pre-order class.. In Q&A on starting a book club in a moment you pondered a book club where there is no common central book. Believe it or not they exist, they are called Silent Book Clubs and there are chapters all over. Members meet for 2 hours typically and greet and socialize first half hour, read silently for an hour, and then have the option individually to read or talk the last half hour. http://silentbook.club

This was wonderful – now I wish I had taken the time to do the receipt thing to get the free audio book (just like you and the black boots that were sold out. . . sigh.) I preordered the book and it came today – this may be a late night reading!
