Around here, we think summer reading season is the most wonderful time of the year!
If you’re excited about reading, but are never sure what to read next, this guide is for you. I’ve read literally hundreds of new releases to prepare this year’s guide, and compiled my 30 favorite summer titles in one compact, user-friendly guide.
My goal is to help you skip the overwhelm, bypass the much-buzzed-about-but-underwhelming new titles and help you find your next great read, whether that’s a summer bestseller or an undiscovered gem.
Every book here has earned its spot, and I’ve personally read them all, front to back. I can vouch for them, and answer any questions you have.
It’s a great time to be reading, and I hope this guide makes the season ahead even more enjoyable.

I've read literally hundreds of new releases to prepare this year's guide, and compiled my 30 favorite summer titles in one compact, user-friendly guide. I can vouch for each one of them and give you enough information to choose which ones are right for you.
This isn't just a book list. I have plenty of those on my blog. This is closer to a magazine. In addition to the 30 titles I describe there are also mini features with which ones I think are best on audio, some great reads from previous Summer Reading Guides, and articles to help you get more out of your reading life.
The next best thing to reading is planning what to read next. I've included printable pages to help you keep track of what you want to read and what you have read this summer. There are several styles for however you like to track your reading.
Who even made this guide?
I'm Anne and I've been a life-long reader. Now I'm also an author, blogger, and literary podcaster. This is my ninth Summer Reading Guide.

Yes! This isn't just a book list. You'll love reading the actual guide. Flip through and pick a title or two to request from the library. Then come back to read articles and reviews while you wait for your holds to come in.
