21 things that happened on Friends that would baffle kids today. Pagers, airport security, and pretty much every plot with an answering machine. Very fun.
The most popular book set in each state—in one surprising map. “Each state’s representative fiction book was chosen based on Goodreads scores for series with over 50,000 ratings.”
The Food for Thought book collection. These look amazing. “Three books with edible names have been packaged up in tin cans, complete with the daily value of humor and irony that the book contains, the number of pages that make the perfect serving size and the ingredients of the novel.” Even if the thought of flattening out those pages makes me cringe, it might be worth it.

The Brutal Telling by Louise Penny. I’m cranking through this series. (Book 1, Still Life, is a summer reading guide pick.)

I’ve got Dead Wake on my list as well, but I may not get to it until after school starts again. A case of too many books, too little time. 🙂 I did finish Deep Down Dark, and it got better for me as it went. Not sure I would gush about it, but it made for some interesting dinner time discussion at our house. Happy weekend to you, and happy reading!
Wonder by Palacio is one of the best children’s books I ever read. I think it was my favorite of all the books I read in 2014. It’s really so, so wonderful! (If you tend to be a crier, I’d keep tissues handy towards the end!)
We’re headed to quebec city and montreal in three weeks. When I saw that Still Life listed on your reading list and realized the book is set there, I reserved it for my husband. I think he’s gonna dig it and the location coincidence is too good!
