Reading Journal Kits are here!

Reading Journal Kits are here!

News news news!

We’ve been working on a little project behind the scenes, which is 100% inspired by my family’s coming move. Think of it as a moving sale. We now have Reading Journal Kits available for sale in the new Modern Mrs Darcy pop-up shop.

Currently in the MMD Shop you can order a Reading Journal Kit or a Deluxe Reading Journal Kit. These kits are meant to be practical, fun, and an easy way for you to sample new-to-you tools without spending a fortune.

Our basic kit (pictured above) includes a silver, lined journal with the embossed Modern Mrs. Darcy logo on the cover, one of my favorite blue or black writing pens, three book darts, and a sticker with the Rainer Maria Rilke quote I close every podcast with: “Ah, how good it is to be among people who are reading.”

The Deluxe Reading Journal Kit (pictured above) includes everything in the basic Reading Journal Kit, plus two additional book darts (5 total), two of my favorite colored pens (we have a whole rainbow of colors; they will vary kit to kit), and one of my favorite highlighters.

You can get the full details on prices, shipping, and returns in the shop! We have a limited quantity of journals and aren’t planning to re-order anytime soon, so if you want one, get it before they’re gone!

This is a bit of a new adventure and I have so many ideas, but would also love to hear your thoughts on what other bookish goodies you’d like to see in the shop. Email katie@modernmrsdarcy.com and tell her all about it.

Is it possible to order a journal if you aren’t a member of the MMD Book Club? Or are they primarily for book club members? It prompts me to login to my Book Club account (which I don’t have)…

    Love this idea all around!

Just ordered mine!! So excited 🙂 On another note, do you think you’ll do a summer reading crate like last summer? I found out about it too late and missed out…

    • Anne says:

Yay! And the answer to that is “maybe.” We’re investigating what our options are, and I’m still in the middle of determining what those top 5 summer books are even going to be!

I love this idea!!! I echo the comment about selling just the stickers. Also, I would love bookplates (is that what they’re called? the things you put inside your books to write your name on), bookmarks, t-shirts (oh, the fun literary quotes!!!), and something to do with local bookstores or bookshops. Could you imagine a cute tote bag with a vintage book image and the quote “Book Local” instead of “Buy Local.” Swoon!!! What would be the equivalent of a bumper sticker for books? That would be fun too…whatever it might be.

Yay! I just ordered my journal kit. I’ve been poking around Amazon looking for something since the podcast about reading tracking. I haven’t really done any tracking up until this year. This is perfect.

I really love the idea! Do you ship worldwide?

Anyhow, does the sticker read “Rainer MarieE Rilke”? Because I always thought it was MariA (and I also only find references for MariA…) But I might be misreading.

And now I have to listen to the new podcast! Can’t wait!

    • Anne says:

You’re right, it’s Maria. And we’re not shipping worldwide right now. Possibly in the future? (We shipped worldwide last summer and dealing with customs was a doozy—we had some packages that never arrived at their intended destination after multiple attempts! If we can figure out a way to make it work, we’d love to put journals in your hands.)

      • Tam says:

I understand, that must be an extra sort of stress dealing with worldwide shipping. So I will stay patient 🙂 Thank you for answering!
