Last week we did a summer reading check-in: I shared my take on 8 of summer’s hot new releases, and challenged the Instagram users among you to share photos of your current summer reads on instagram using the hashtag #MMDshelfie.
I had so much fun browsing through the hashtag on Instagram. I loved seeing what was on your shelves: you all have some seriously good taste. I was thrilled to see quite a few Summer Reading Guide picks, and I added quite a few books to my TBR list as well.
Here are a few highlights from the hashtag:

The giveaway is over and I shipped the books out to the winner yesterday (Congrats @recooper84!) but feel free to continue to use the hashtags #MMDshelfie and #MMDreading anytime: I’ll check on them regularly and will share my favorite photos occasionally, on Instagram (I’m @annebogel) or in a roundup here.
As always, happy reading!

And that’s what I get for not following you on instagram! Going to find you now. 😉
Just for fun: I finished All The Light We Cannot See and The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up. I’m currently reading The Mapmaker’s Children and Fahrenheit 451.
Is there anything better than pictures of books? 🙂
Congrats to the lucky winner! I love reading your updates, so it’s a win-win for me too.
Thanks for the IG shoutout (I’m @mscharjane). I hate to report that I’m still sick and full of gunk, but I’m savoring Ursula, Under. The narrative style is completely unique and the writing so beautiful!
Ursula Under is one of my all-time favorites . I don’t think it gets the attention it deserves. I read it when it first came out and it is on my re-read list for later this year,
Congratulations to the winner! I had no idea I would have so much fun on Instagram taking pictures of books. LOL! I’m glad to hear you say you want us to use those hashtags. I’m so new to Instagram still that I didn’t know what was kosher. *dork* 😉 Thanks for the fun!
I had fun participating and will definitely be using those hashtags in the future! 🙂
I loved this post and seeing how creative everyone was in photographing and posting their summer reads. I think Anne always does a great job of photographing her reads and all her blog & Instagram posts at all times.
