My favorite finds from around the web:
• More advice for the recent graduate. Find a new city, talk to strangers, study something you love in depth. Such a great list.
• I planned a wedding in five days. You could, too. This reminds me of what a local florist once said: planning a wedding takes exactly as long as you have. “With each social expectation for weddings, I asked myself: “Does this achieve the goal of making the people at my wedding feel loved and appreciated for the role they play in my life? Will it help strengthen my marriage and the promises we made to each other?” If the answer was no, I didn’t waste any more time.”
• What Anne Shirley means to me, and surviving trauma. “Reading through [Montgomery’s work] as an adult who finally had her lifelong anxiety disorder diagnosed, I was astounded at the ways Montgomery writes Anne dealing with all types of nerves, especially social anxiety. Anne’s coping mechanisms are my coping mechanisms, and part of me wonders if I learned to cope with anxiety and depression by reading these books.”
• The 10 emotional stages of seeing your favorite book as a TV show or movie.

Just read your quitting Diet Coke post and my tip would be to freeze slices of lemon and put them into soda water as an ice substitute plus a squeeze of bottled lemon juice. Makes a very refreshing guilt free drink
