I wrote this on a whim after I watched my search engine traffic soar in September for terms like “Kate Middleton Halloween costume” because of this post (and this one). For once I tapped right into the zeitgeist: this post has brought in far more search engine traffic than any other I’ve written for this site, and I was very surprised when it was picked up by some newsy sites in October.
I wrote this way back when I first started blogging, and it’s funny to read it now and see how my tone has changed. I do think it’s excellent advice, though.

This is another early post that I wrote after coming home from another discouraging, sarcasm-filled meeting.
I wrote this after hearing a little blurb on the radio that gossip is actually good for us. But as for me, I need to be encouraged to keep my mouth shut much more than I need to be prodded to dish the dirt. And many of you felt the same way.
I wrote the Green Gables posts very early on, and I wish they were formatted a little better, but I think the content is fabulous and fun.
