The Highly Sensitive Person
If you're an HSP, your nervous system is more sensitive to physical and/or emotional stimulation than the general population, and about 20% of you fall in that category. If that rings true for you (or someone you love or interact with) this book is life-changing. Highly recommended. (More about highly sensitive people here.)

This is marketed as the handbook for parenting and caring for highly sensitive children, but I think it's perfect for HSPs who find The Highly Sensitive Person overwhelming because of sensitive content. (For example, the "adult" version goes into great detail about how traumatic physical and emotional abuse is to HSPs. Those chapters were TOUGH.) You can learn everything you need to know about HSPs and HSCs from this book here.
