Today I’m so excited to be sharing my brand new ebook with you!
Work Shift: How to Create a Better Blend of Work, Life, and Family is a tool to help you figure out how to blend work and family in a way that works for you. Because when it comes to combining work and family, one size does not fit all.
The options for combining work and family are better than ever, but too many women don’t know what their options are. They lack the role models to show them the many forms a successful blend of work and family can take. I wrote Work Shift to bridge that gap.
The heart of Work Shift is the personal stories of nearly 30 women who have taken the road less traveled. These women–through trial and error–have arrived at solutions that are working for their families. They wanted to share their journeys so your road might be made smoother.
Here’s what else you’ll find in Work Shift:
- Foreword by Hayley Morgan
- From Balance to Blend
- A New Paradigm
- My Story
- A Brief History of the Work Place
- Where We Are Now
- Laying the Foundation
- What It Looks Like
- Ages and Stages
- Overcoming Barriers
- Where We’re Headed
- The Future of the Workplace
- Where Are You Headed?
I’m so pleased with how it turned out, and I’m thrilled that it’s ready for you today!

I just purchased a copy for my Kindle. I’ve been really looking forward to this!
Thanks, Adriana! I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
I finished it this evening. Nicely done! Relevant and hopeful. I loved all the examples. They helped me visualize how many possible ways a work/life/family blend can be achieved. The “seasons of life” part really spoke to me. I can see how it is important to be strategic and keep a long term perspective!
Also, I’m thinking now about how I can do a better job of guiding my children to their best potential — both my boys and my girls! By recognizing the changing cultural landscape, we can save our children a lot of frustration. I’m glad you’ve given me a timely “heads-up” !
So excited for you, Anne! I’ve been sharing on FB and need to go tweet about it!
Thanks, Carrie!
Congrats, Anne!
So excited for you! Just shared with my readers.
Honored to have been included in it. Thank you.
Excited for you, Anne!!!
SO proud of you, friend. I’m about half way through reading it and it is so well done.
Yay for yu and the book, Anne! I love the subtitle, because life isn;t about finding balance. Like I said yesterday, life’s too messy for that. Everything does belnd into each other, doesn’t it? Nice job.
Tim
Congratulations Anne! I’m so happy for you and the launch of Work Shift. I loved this book and have already thought of a few friends who I think would like it too! I hope you sell lots and lots of copies and people really enjoy it. I know I sure did (and we don’t even have kids)
Congrats, Anne! Your writing in this ebook was, as always, so well worded and inspiring. I am so glad and honored that you allowed me to be part of it! Thank you!
I published my review on In My Kitchen, In My Life this afternoon. I enjoyed the chance to read and review it. Thank you!
I bought it! I really hope it helps me sort out some things in my head. We’re trying to figure out if I can transition to doing some part time work at home and still take care of our baby.
This blending idea is brave. It turns the traditional life/family/work balancing act on its head, and it forces us to question what’s important in all parts of our lives. I think paring down to what’s really worth our time and energy, and immersing ourselves in them completely, is essential to living a life we’re happy with. Reading your book now, and really enjoying your work!
